Ingredients:
Coconut or Olive oil
Onion
Green Pepper
Red Pepper
Ground Turkey
Romaine leaves
Seasonings- Tonys, salt, pepper, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika (really just anything that makes those taste buds movin)
Salsa
Cheese
Greek nonfat plain yogurt (or sour cream)-- try the yogurt. you can do it. be brave.
Recipe: Serves 2-4 people
Prep- Dice your onion and peppers and set aside.
Place your ground turkey in a mixing boil and add all the seasonings your little heart desires. Ground turkey has like..zero flavor, so don't be shy seasoning that baby up! Get your hands dirty (or use a spoon) and mix it all together. You probably need to wash your hands before and after. Don't be gross. But if you forget, don't tell your husband;) I, of course, have never forgotten….
Okay now, in a large skillet pour a little olive or coconut oil to the bottom and turn on the stove to medium heat.
Throw in your onions and peppers and cook them for about 5 minutes or until they get pretty soft.
Then throw in your seasoned meat and cook, well... until its cooked.. it'll turn brown. You'll know.
Stir, toss, stir. And when the meat is cooked, you're done. Correction..you're finished. (I 100% blame Jill Rushing for making me constantly correct my English in my head 24/7. Thanks)
Now assemble your wrap.
Take the biggest romaine leaf you can find and place it on your plate. Add as much of the meat/pepper mixture as you want. Throw some cheese on top. Spoon on some salsa and a dollop of yogurt. Fold down the soft side of the romaine first, then the other sides, like a burrito. Hold with two hands and eat like a taco.
